A wave of excitement has washed over the internet following the release of the Frozen live-action trailer. This trailer has surged fan speculation about Disney’s megahit, Frozen. The buzz surrounds the potential casting of Hollywood stars Anya Taylor-Joy and Millie Bobby Brown as Elsa and Anna, respectively. However, the fans wonder if the Frozen live-action movie’s trailer is real or fake.

Here’s everything you need to know if the Frozen movie trailer is real or fake.

Is the live-action Frozen movie trailer real or fake?

The live-action Frozen movie trailer is fan-made.

The live-action movie created by Darth Trailer is fake. This YouTube channel is known for producing imaginative, and creative trailers for top-grossing movies. The footage used is not from any official Disney production.

A live-action reimagining of Frozen remains a possibility, though not on Disney’s immediate horizon. The studio’s focus on other live-action adaptations, coupled with the need to gauge audience appetite, suggests any such project is likely several years down the line.

Disney’s immediate focus includes the upcoming Frozen 3, which will continue the animated franchise. The significant financial success of the first two Frozen films grossed over $2.6 billion globally, as per The Economic Times.

Will Anya Taylor Joy and Millie Bobby Brown play Elsa and Anna in a live-action Frozen movie?

No, Anya Taylor-Joy and Millie Bobby Brown are not confirmed to play Elsa and Anna in a live-action Frozen movie.

The trailers suggesting their involvement, created by YouTube channels Darth Trailer and KH Studio, are unofficial and fan-made. However, the KH Studio’s fan-made trailer features Emilia Clarke. It seems the footage has been taken from Clarke’s time on Game of Thrones.

The Walt Disney Company officially announced the continuation of the beloved Frozen franchise with a third installment, Frozen 3, during their first quarterly earnings call of 2023 reported by Deadline.

Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed plans for the theatrical release of Frozen 3 sometime in 2026. Furthermore, an official release date is not confirmed. Thus, speculation based on Disney’s release schedule suggests a potential debut on November 25, 2026.
