Helmed by Simarpreet Singh, the movie was recently released on the OTT giant. While Harman Wadala and Sandeep Jain wrote the Netflix movie, Ankur Garg and Luv Ranjan produced it. The movie is trading on the streaming service in India. However, it seems that netizens are not that happy with the new comedy.

Netizens review Netflix’s latest movie Wild Wild Punjab

Soon after the release of the Netflix movie Wild Wild Punjab, X (formerly Twitter) is filled with reactions from netizens. Despite trading in the country, the movie has failed to entertain the masses.

An X user wrote, “The premise is promising and a few scenes bring the house down. Also, it’s just 110 minutes long. Sadly, all jokes don’t land as intended. The drug angle and action in the end are forced. The finale doesn’t have the desired impact and an important track is forgotten by the makers.”

Another one did not enjoy the movie and called its plot boring. The user penned, “What a CRAP film in d name of Comedy. Not even a single scene is interesting. Boring Plot & Idiotic Characters. Visuals have Punjabi Flavour, Decent Perf from actors. Treatment is unexciting, ends up as a Sleeping pill. Mega Comedy TORTURE!” One also wrote, “The Hangover-inspired #WildWildPunjab—out now on Netflix—fails its title and attempted genre.”

The movie follows the story of four friends who instantly plan a road trip after one of them gets cheated by his girlfriend. However, they do not know the trip will change their lives entirely. From getting married to fighting drug lords, they have several ups and downs.

Meanwhile, stay tuned for more updates.
