No, Seth Meyers Has Not Been Not Fired From NBC

Hollywood is in mourning as Beverly Hills 90210 and Charmed star Shannen Doherty has passed away.

Doherty, who became a household name thanks to her roles as Brenda Walsh on 90210 and the witch Prue on Charmed, died following a battle with breast cancer. Doherty was only 53 years old. The actress was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015.

“It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the passing of actress Shannen Doherty. On Saturday, July 13, she lost her battle with cancer after many years of fighting the disease,” said Doherty’s publicist, Leslie Sloane. “The devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend was surrounded by her loved ones as well as her dog, Bowie. The family asks for their privacy at this time so they can grieve in peace.”

The actress first caught attention as a child actress on Little House on the Prairie, the family drama Our House, and Girls Just Want to Have Fun. She would also have a key role in the Kevin Smith film Mallrats as Rene Mosier and have a cameo in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. Most recently, she appeared in the films Fortress, Hot Seat, and Darkness of Man while also making TV appearances on Heathers, Riverdale, and BH90210.

ComingSoon sends condolences to Doherty’s friends and family during this time.
