I remember being completely blown away when I watched The Matrix! It was just such a jaw-droppingly awesome sci-fi action film, and it was a game-changer in cinema with the use of its cutting-edge technology and mind-bending storytelling.
Keanu Reeves recently appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and while there he reflected on The Matrix and what the film means to him. He gets emotional talking about it and even got choked up at bit.
Reeves fondly said: “The Matrix changed my life. And then, over these years, it’s changed so many other peoples’ lives in really positive and great ways.
“So, as an artist, you hope for that when you get to do a film or tell a story. And so when you say these years and the amount of people that I’ve met who have said to me and been touched by The Matrix in such a positive way [pauses] it’s the best.”
The experience of making that movie was obviously an amazing experience for him and he just wants everyone to know that it really does have a special place in his heart.
