Another one bites the dust. In addition to Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, Judge Mathis and his wife Linda Reese Mathis are calling it quits as TMZ reports that Linda filed for divorce after 39 years of marriage.

The couple first got married in June 1985, just a few short years after Judge Greg Mathis graduated college and 14 years before his reality court show first aired on national TV.
On Thursday evening (August 22), TMZ reported that Judge Gregory Ellis Mathis might soon be facing his own judge as his wife filed divorce papers earlier in the day. The news publication reports that documents they obtained show Linda Mathis listing a date of separation from her husband as July 17, and as with many celebrity divorce filings, Linda cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the longtime couple’s split.

The news site adds that being that The Mathis’ children are of age, there won’t be plans to head to any custody and child support hearings. The couple’s four children are all over 18 years old, and in their 30s: Jade Mathis, 39; Camara Mathis, 36; Greg Mathis Jr., 35; and Amir Mathis, 34.
TMZ reports that Linda Reese Mathis is asking her husband for spousal support and has asked for the court not to be able to award Judge Mathis spousal support. At this time, it is unclear if the couple had a prenuptial agreement in play.
