Dark Horse Manga will bring the continuation of Kentaro Miura’s beloved manga series to English audiences beginning in Spring 2025

The powerful loss of Kentaro Miura, the legendary mangaka and creator of Berserk, has been felt across the world. Miura-sensei’s lifelong friend and fellow manga creator, Kouji Mori, has taken on the immense task of leading Miura’s team at Studio Gaga in the quest to carry on the story and art of the Berserk saga. Dark Horse Manga can now announce and confirm that we will continue the English publication of this iconic series with Berserk Volume 42. This volume will contain 192 pages and measure 5.125” x 7.25” to match the standard paperback size of this series and feature the traditional double-sided bound-in color poster. This volume will fit right in with fans’ collections when it arrives in March 2025.

Previously in Berserk Volumes 40 and 41, Schierke and Farnese battled endless horrors to reach the dark secret that has imprisoned Casca’s mind since the shattering events of the Invocation of Doom. Though Casca reclaimed her sanity, she and Guts the Black Swordsman then faced the personal challenge of their reunion… and the harrowing memories of her gruesome ordeal.

In Berserk Volume 42:

The shocking appearance of Griffith on Elf Island has provoked rage and terror in Guts and Casca, and carved a rift into the enchanted isle itself, setting loose a corrosive horde of devourers from beneath the earth! If the Black Swordsman cannot rely upon even his legendary blade, then escape by ship seems the only hope for survival…but not everyone is leaving Elf Island together!

Continue the legacy when Berserk Volume 42 arrives in bookstores on March 18, 2025 and in comic shops on March 19, 2025. It is now available to pre-order for $14.99 from TFAW, Amazon, Barnes and Noble or your local bookstore, or visit PRH Comics or Comic Shop Locator for more details and stores near you.
