The first trailer has been released for the fantastic film Your Monster, which is a romantic comedy creature feature. I saw this film at Sundance earlier this year and enjoyed the hell out of it! It was just such a delightful film.
Your Monster tells the story of the soft-spoken actor Laura Franco (Melissa Barrera), who is dumped by her longtime boyfriend (Edmund Donovan) while recovering from surgery and retreats to her childhood home to recover.
“With her future looking bleak, insult is added to injury when Laura discovers her ex is staging a musical that she helped him develop. But out of these gut-wrenching life changes emerges a monster (Tommy Dewey) with whom she finds a connection, encouraging Laura to follow her dreams, open her heart and fall in love with her inner rage.”
Your Monster is a genre-bending movie-going experience that delivers a fun blend of romance, comedy, music, and horror elements. The film’s storytelling is its greatest strength as itt begins with Laura’s vulnerability and despair but ultimately celebrates her journey towards self-discovery and empowerment.
Your Monster is a charming cinematic experience that will leave you with a smile on your face and it’s a must-see for anyone looking for a refreshing and unique film.
