In the wake of the recent presidential debate that took place on September 10, Donald Trump‘s comments about the audience’s reaction have sparked significant attention and controversy. As he reflects on his performance, questions arise about his recent statements.

Here is what Donald Trump said about the “audience” at the Presidential debate.

What did Donald Trump say about the ‘audience’ at the Presidential debate?

Donald Trump recently faced backlash for asserting that the audience at the presidential debate with Kamala Harris “went crazy” for him. Trump continued to highlight the enthusiasm of the audience, stating, “And the audience was absolutely– they went crazy.”

The former U.S. President later referenced the debate’s television ratings, claiming, “We had 75 million people watching, something like that, and you have to do well.” It remains unclear whether Trump was referring to actual audience reactions or simply the viewership numbers when discussing the “crazy” audience. In addition, Trump expressed his frustration during an appearance on Wednesday’s episode of Fox News’ Gutfeld! He criticized the moderators from ABC News, arguing they “corrected everything I said practically” while failing to do the same for Harris. Trump said, “They didn’t correct her once. And they corrected me, everything I said, practically. I think nine times or 11 times.”

Was any live audience present at the presidential debate?

No, a live audience was not present at the presidential debate.

Donald Trump has faced criticism for asserting that the audience at his presidential debate with Kamala Harris “went crazy” for him, even though no live audience was actually present.

The September 10 debate was conducted under specific rules, which included the absence of an audience, muted microphones for candidates when they were not speaking, and a ban on earpieces. Trump’s comments, made during an appearance on Fox News, ignited a flurry of reactions on social media, emphasizing the inconsistency between his claims and the reality of the debate format.
