Chaos erupted Saturday night as a mass shooting occurred in Birmingham, Alabama. The tragic incident has left four people dead and several others injured.
According to Birmingham police, the chaotic scene unfolded just after 11 p.m. in the bustling Five Points South area, outside the popular hookah and cigar lounge, Hush. It was said that the gunfire erupted as multiple shooters targeted a group of people enjoying the evening. Authorities are investigating the incident and believe it was not a random act of violence, but rather stemmed from a specific conflict.
In total, 21 individuals were reportedly struck by gunfire during the incident. Among the 17 survivors, the severity of their injuries varies widely, ranging from non-life-threatening to critical conditions. Upon their arrival, police discovered two men and a woman unresponsive at the scene, all suffering from gunshot wounds. Tragically, these three victims were pronounced dead at the scene, while another succumbed to injuries at a local hospital.

Authorities have confirmed that at least four of the injured individuals are facing life-threatening conditions, while others are dealing with a range of injuries.
As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
According to the Gun Violence Archive, there have been more than 400 mass shootings across the US so far this year.
