According to People Magazine, the “Nonsense” singer has officially earned a spot on the coveted TIME100 Next list, which celebrates rising stars across various industries. Carpenter graces one of the issue’s three covers, marking a major milestone in her career.

In the cover image, set to hit newsstands on Friday, October 4, the former Disney Channel star stuns in a vibrant red silk bodysuit adorned with an oversized bow. The pop star beams with joy, posing with her hands raised against a backdrop of lush green grass and a clear blue sky.

Sabrina Carpenter, who is currently on the road with her Short ‘n’ Sweet tour, will be taking a brief break from her packed schedule to perform at the prestigious TIME100 Next event. The performance is set for Wednesday, October 9, in New York City, where she will join fellow honorees to celebrate the next generation of influential talent.

The issue not only celebrates Sabrina Carpenter’s accomplishments but also features a heartfelt tribute from pop icon Christina Aguilera.

In her message, the “Genie In A Bottle” artist urges fans to “never underestimate the mighty power” behind Carpenter’s talent.

“It’s the reason she has catapulted to her earned spot as one of today’s leading pop artists. She proves great things come in small packages,” Aguilera, who recently collaborated with Carpenter on a reimagined version of her hit song “What a Girl Wants,” wrote, according to People.

Christina Aguilera’s journey to stardom began when she was cast on “The All-New Mickey Mouse Club” in 1993 at the age of 12. Similarly, Sabrina Carpenter’s Disney days began when she landed the role of Maya Hart on the hit Disney Channel series “Girl Meets World.”

Noting their similar rise to fame through Disney, Aguilera shared that she understands “what it takes to maintain clarity while delivering within the demands of this business,” praising the “Please Please Please” singer for her resilience and undeniable talent.

It’s no shocker that Carpenter made the TIME100 Next cut, especially as her sixth studio album, “Short n’ Sweet,” which dropped on Friday, August 23, skyrocketed to the top of the Billboard 200 chart, racking up an impressive 362,000 equivalent album units.

“I called it ‘Short n’ Sweet’ for multiple reasons,” Carpenter said of where the album’s title came from. “It was not because I’m vertically challenged. I thought about some of these relationships and how some of them were the shortest I’ve ever had, and they affected me the most.”

“I think about the way that I respond to situations, and sometimes it is very nice, and sometimes it’s not very nice. And again, the thing about albums, projects, writing songs, it’s all moments,” she added.

In 2017, the ex-Disney Channel star opened up about the experience of serving as a role model for countless young girls around the globe.

“I think that, you have to be doing it almost for yourself,” she told Impact Nottingham. “I think so much of it is knowing you can’t please everybody, because I’m the type of person that wants to please everybody.”

“At the end of the day, would you rather be a happy person or a miserable person? People make mistakes and you’re going to get through it, but also, make it as fun as you can and don’t take it too seriously,” she added. “It truly is your job, but you should be having fun.”
