The second season of the live-action Star Wars series Ahsoka is reportedly going into production next year. This update comes from The Hollywood Reporter, whose sources indicate production will begin in 2025.

Dave Filoni has already been developing the story and scripts for the next chapter of the story for quite a while now, but it was officially announced in January, so it makes sense that production would be ready to go in the near future.

No plot details have been given just yet, but Filoni did share some concept art that suggests the World Between Worlds could be a big factor in the upcoming episodes.

The art is a sketch featuring Ahsoka (Rosario Dawson) and Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) standing on the figure of the giant statue of The Father of the Mortis Gods. The image came with the caption, “The story continues.”

Ahsoka is set after the fall of the Empire, and “follows the former Jedi knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.” Season 2 will continue that journey and with Grand Admiral Thrawn, Baylan Skoll, and Shin Hati on the loose, it will be interesting to see where the story goes.

Ahosoka also stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, the late Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, David Tennant as Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, and Eman Esfandi appearing as Ezra Bridger.

I’m sure we’ll see Hayden Christensen return as well to take on the role of Anakin Skywalker.
