Tom Brady has offered support to Florida as the city seeks to raise funds for relief efforts following Hurricane Milton, which impacted the Gulf Coast.
The retired NFL quarterback revealed that he’ll be putting up $100,000 to assist victims in urgent need of essential supplies while remaining on high alert due to the ongoing hurricane threat. The seven-time Super Bowl champion made the announcement of his contribution on Thursday, stating, “In the wake of Hurricane Milton, I’ll be making a donation of $100k to help get essentials like food, water and first aid to fellow Floridians in need.”

He also announced that Go Puff, a delivery service for goods and food, will match his donation, with all proceeds going to the Volunteer Florida Foundation. “Keep those impacted by these storms in your prayers, look out for your neighbors, and continue to help out any way you’re able,” he added. “Stay safe, and stay strong Florida,” Brady said.
After making landfall on Wednesday evening close to Siesta Key, Hurricane Milton has since shifted away from the east coast of Florida.
Even prior to Milton making landfall as a formidable Category 3 hurricane, the outer bands of the storm swept across the state on Wednesday morning, triggering tornadoes and providing residents a glimpse of the storm’s destructive power.
On Wednesday night, Milton struck western Florida and nearby regions, delivering heavy rainfall and winds reaching 120 mph—powerful enough to tear the roof off Tropicana Field, the stadium in St. Petersburg that hosts the Tampa Bay Rays.

By 2 p.m., the National Hurricane Center reported that Milton’s winds had decreased to 75 mph, and the storm is now classified as a post-tropical cyclone as it progresses further into the Atlantic.
Strong wind gusts continue to affect east-central Florida, with some areas experiencing speeds exceeding 80 mph.
