Netflix has officially renewed the romantic-comedy series starring Kristen Bell and Adam Brody for a second season, set to premiere in 2025, as confirmed by TVLine.
Season 2 will see Girls alumni Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan stepping in as executive producers and showrunners. Erin Foster, the show’s creator, whose life loosely inspired the series, will return as an executive producer alongside Kristen Bell and Steve Levitan.
“Creating Nobody Wants This has been a career highlight,” Foster said in a statement. “The cast, crew, producers, and executives have all contributed to making the show what it is today. Seeing how viewers have responded has surpassed all my expectations. I’m incredibly grateful to continue telling this story, especially with Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan, whose work on Girls I’ve long admired. Justice for healthy relationships being the most romantic!”
The ensemble cast of Nobody Wants This also includes Timothy Simons (Veep) as Noah’s brother, Sasha; Justine Lupe (Succession) as Joanne’s sister, Morgan; Jackie Tohn (GLOW) as Sasha’s wife, Esther; Paul Ben-Victor (In Plain Sight) and Tovah Feldshuh (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) as Noah and Sasha’s parents, Ilan and Bina; Michael Hitchcock (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) and Stephanie Faracy (Devious Maids) as Joanne and Morgan’s parents, Henry and Lynn; and Sherry Cola (Good Trouble) as Ashley, a mutual friend of Joanne and Noah.
