Westside Gunn is officially in the sneaker business, announcing he’s set to drop his first-ever collab with Saucony.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday (October 9), the Griselda rapper shared a series of shots from his time working with the popular sneaker company on the design of his kicks.
On the last slide, Gunn included a 2023 interview where he named Saucony as his favorite sneakers of the year, showing how much this really means to him.
“IM proud to announce I’m OFFICIALLY dropping my first sneaker!!!!,” he captioned the post. “This is a dream come true and I just wanna thank y’all so much for believing in my ART. thank u @jaetips for opening the door and inspiring me. I’m a keep pushing the culture fwd..”
He concluded: “Also thank u to the staff for believing in my vision and treating me like a Day 1 I won’t disappoint, BIG THINGS ARE HAPPENING and I just wanna let y’all know GOD IS THE GREATEST and y’all support is wats keeping me going, I’ll put my 800k followers against somebody’s 10M anyday, Love y’all now let’s make some of the flyest kicks ever.”

On the music side of things, Westside Gunn has announced the release date for his new album Still Praying.
Taking to Instagram last week, the prolific Buffalo, New York rapper announced the album’s release date as November 1 and also unveiled the project’s cover art, which features recently deceased professional wrestler Sid Eudy.
Gunn also commented on the upcoming release and how he expects it to birth a new era for Griselda Records.
“THIS IS FOR BIG DUMP, MICHELLE, GDAD, VIRGIL, CHINEGUN, SLY GREEN, KUTTER, SHOTS, BACON, BEHIND THE WALL and BUFFALO!!!!!!” he wrote, referencing family, friends and collaborators who have passed away. “I promise y’all about to witness a new chapter in this shit starting NOW!!!!”

He added: “STILL PRAYING is the beginning of a new era of @griseldarecords I promise y’all I’m a make sure y’all never forget this shit, just support the ART and watch how life change for the better.
“FLYGOD IS AN AWESOME GOD, when everybody thought I was just chillin I was actually curating the illest ART (WRESTLING/FASHION/MUSIC) I ever Made but now it’s time to show y’all everything I been working on. I’m a show y’all why it’ll never be another WESTSIDE GUNN.”
Westside Gunn also has a number of other projects in the works as the acclaimed MC appears to be on a burst of creativity of late.
In addition to the long-teased Michelle Records, he announced in August that he’ll be releasing a new album called Flygod Is An Awesome God III (Trilogy).
