The NFL has announced that Atlanta will host Super Bowl LXII in 2028, the fourth time the city has hosted the event. The game will be held at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the same venue that hosted the Super Bowl in 2019.

The announcement was made during the NFL Fall League Meeting in Atlanta after a review by the NFL’s Fan Engagement & Major Events Committee, which was followed by a vote from the league’s full ownership. According to the league’s press release, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell expressed his excitement for Atlanta as a host city.
“Atlanta is a world-class event destination and a natural fit for Super Bowl 62,” Goodell exclaimed. He also credited Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank for securing the bid, noting his role in the community. Blank expressed enthusiasm for the event and thanked NFL owners for their trust. He looks forward to collaborating with local officials to make Super Bowl LXII memorable.

Atlanta will host several fan events and community programs leading up to the 2028 Super Bowl. Dan Corso, the president of the Atlanta Sports Council, emphasized the city’s readiness to host the large-scale event.
“As we made clear throughout the process, no city is better positioned than Atlanta to host events of this magnitude. Super Bowl LXII would not be possible without the incredible cooperation of leaders in the civic and business community who continue to come together to deliver for our city and state.”
