Liam Payne’s girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, is expressing heartbreak over the devastating loss of her beloved partner.
She recently took to her Instagram Story to honor the One Direction singer, who was the love of her life. “Thank you for all of the kind words and love that has been sent my way,” she began in a heartfelt message shared on her Instagram story on Friday. “I have been at a complete loss,” she continued. “Nothing about the past few days has felt real. I ask and pray that you’ll give me the grace and space to navigate this in private.”
She then shared, “Liam, my angel. You are everything. I want you to know I loved you unconditionally and completely. I will continue to love you for the rest of my life,” she added. “I love you, Liam.”

As previously reported, Payne tragically passed away at the young age of 31 on October 16 after falling from the third floor of his hotel room in Argentina. State police confirmed that Payne’s body was discovered in the inner courtyard of the hotel, where he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Cassidy and Payne were in Argentina together until she flew home alone, feeling homesick. The couple has been linked since 2022 and made their official red carpet debut in December 2022 at the Fashion Awards in London.
Cassidy joins a growing list of those close to the star who have spoken out about the heartbreaking news of his death. His former bandmates have also expressed their grief, while Liam’s ex, Cheryl Cole, released a heartfelt statement. She said,
“As I try to navigate this earth-shattering event, and work through my own grief at this indescribably painful time, I’d like to kindly remind everyone that we have lost a human being,” she wrote via Instagram, accompanying a throwback photo of Payne with their newborn son, Bear, in bed on Friday.
“Liam was not only a pop star and celebrity; he was a son, a brother, an uncle, a dear friend, and a father to our 7-year-old son. A son that now has to face the harsh reality of never seeing his father again,” she continued, pleading, “I am begging you.”
She went on to say, “Before you leave comments or make videos, ask yourself if you would like your own child or family to read them. Please give Liam the little dignity he has left in the wake of his death to rest in some peace at last.”
Liam Payne will be greatly missed.
