Former multi-division boxing champion Adrien Broner is speaking out after a livestream interaction with popular social media influencer Aya Tanjali sparked widespread backlash online. Instead of taking full accountability, he’s actually denying what went down, even though it was caught all in camera.

The controversy erupted after stream showed 19 year old Tanjali visibly flustered and uncomfortable after the 36-year-old boxer seemingly smacked her butt. While online commentators quickly accused Broner of crossing boundaries, the fighter is vehemently denying any wrongdoing while simultaneously trying to clear the air…
Speaking directly with The Shade Room, Broner dismissed the public outcry, claiming the situation has been entirely blown out of proportion.
“Man, ain’t nobody violated that girl,” Broner stated, addressing the allegations of misconduct. “She over doing it.”
Despite his defensive stance regarding the interaction itself, Broner shifted gears to offer a direct, public apology to the young influencer, expressing a desire to handle the matter privately.
“Tell her I said I’m sorry and I apologize,” Broner added during the interview. “Call or text me.”
Tanjali, who commands millions of followers across her social platforms, has not publicly responded to Broner’s request for a private conversation. However, right after the incident she immediately left and said she wanted to cry.
Broner has continued to make headlines for his poor behavior and despite constant backlash, it doesn’t look like he plans to change anytime soon.
