Katie Maloney is clapping back at rumors suggesting her new boyfriend, Nick Martin, has already cheated on her.
Following reports suggesting the 41-year-old Sleeping With Sirens guitarist had cheated on his now-estranged wife, Jenna Martin, and was a collector of women, the 37-year-old Vanderpump Rules star responded to a message on Instagram in which a woman confronted her about a recent trip Nick allegedly took to Mexico.
“I’m putting some of the stuff I saw on When We Were Young on my daddy list. Obviously, Sleeping With Sirens killed it both days,” Katie shared on a recent episode of Disrespectfully, via Reddit. “They’re great.”
But after the clip was posted, a telling screenshot made its way to the comments section.
“You might want to ask Nick who he went to Mexico with in September,” someone had written to Katie, via a screenshot shared by It’s All Happening.
“Yes. I’m aware,” Katie responded. “I was also dating and talking to other people in the month of September as Nick and I were just friends at that point and not in a relationship or exclusively dating. I ask you and anyone else to consider that you don’t know the time line or full story of how Nick and I came into a relationship.”
“I’m very sorry that your experience left you hurt, I have been there. Dating is treacherous,” Katie added.
Then, in another message, via a second screenshot on Reddit from the same user, the person told Katie that they thought she’d like to know since she was a “girls girl.”
“I had no clue. I was told he was [hopping] on his [friend’s] vacation to practice his guitar. I didn’t know he went to Mexico with a 20-year-old that he’s been talking to since she was [redacted]. That’s gross,” they stated.
“The fact that he didn’t disclose that he has [redacted] to her is actually illegal. He’s a narcissist, manipulator, and a cheater. I understand your relationship wasn’t closed off at this time. But, does it not give you the ick that he can go to Mexico with her, then Green Day with you, and meet up with me … all in a weeks time[?]” they asked. “We have matching texts. And similar story lines with things being changed or omitted to keep him looking innocent. He for sure hurt me. As a friend and as a human.”
“So yes, dating is treacherous … when you are dating a narcissist,” the unnamed woman added.
Vanderpump Rules is currently on pause ahead of its upcoming 12th season.
