Will Superman Appear in ‘Peacemaker’ Season 2?

Breaking up over the holidays is just the worst, but then being stuck in a house with that person you broke up with would really be a bummer.

The trailer for the holiday dramedy Breakup Season has been released, and it explores that awkward dynamic. It stars The Walking Dead actor Chandler Riggs, with Samantha Isler, James Urbaniak, Brook Hogan, Carly Stewart, and Jacob Wysocki. It’s written and directed by H. Nelson Tracey in his feature debut.

The synopsis reads: “Unemployed yet ambitious 24-year-old Ben Russell (Chandler Riggs) brings his girlfriend named Cassie ( Samantha Isler ) to his rural Oregon hometown to meet his family and celebrate Christmas.

“The arrival is bumpy. The family’s dynamic unearths internal conflict Cassie is having with Ben. The night they arrive, a late night argument turns into a breakup.

“Cassie determines she should go home for Christmas after all… But because of the remote location, a raging snowstorm, and busy holiday travel, there is no way for her to leave.

“Cassie is now stuck with her newly minted ex and his entire family until the end of Christmas.”

This looks like a sweet, original movie. I have enjoyed following Riggs’s career since he left The Walking Dead, and I have liked the projects he’s chosen.

This movie has good reviews from critics, and it has a different feel from most holiday movies, so it could be fun to check out. Watch the trailer below, and catch Breakup Season when it hits select US theatres on November 15th.
