When the influential Caspa and beloved duo EAZYBAKED come together, it’s “No Laughing Matter.”
Their new collaboration, out now via Insomniac Records’ Bassrush imprint, is a grinding dubstep banger that showcases the best of its collaborators. Caspa, a pioneering producer of dubstep music, and EAZYBAKED, one of the scene’s most promising duos, remain true to their collective appreciation of the genre.
The track’s outset tells us that it’s no laughing matter indeed, with ominous echos of sinister laughter slashed just before the bass is cut loose. Caspa’s signature, wobbly UK style then contorts with EAZYBAKED’s artful percussion in the drop, curating a dark, extraterrestrial soundscape.
