Oliver Heldens is back with “I Want Your Love,” a euphoric techno anthem produced alongside DIØN and Funk Tribu.
The unlikely trio have cooked up something that feels both primal and polished. It’s a masterful fusion of techno’s shadowy allure and house’s hands-in-the-air vibes, a dichotomy that Heldens has mastered over the years by balancing his own music and that of his techno alias, HI-LO.
Out now via his own Heldeep label, “I Want Your Love” is propelled by an undercurrent of dark, rumbling basslines that keep you anchored even as the soaring vocals lift you higher. The Dutch dance music superstar says the track represents his view of what’s next in dance music.
“The last few years, I’ve been inspired and excited about what the next generation in dance music is up to, and DIØN and Funk Tribu have been two of my favorites from this new wave of uptempo rave music,” Heldens said in a statement. “We thought bringing our three worlds together in one track would be interesting.”
