Kate Upton’s Post About A ‘Drunk and High’ Dad Sparks Concerns

Supermodel Kate Upton has left fans concerned and searching for answers after sharing a cryptic Instagram post detailing a disturbing scenario involving a “drunk and high” father and a young child.

The 32-year-old Sports Illustrated star shared the post via Instagram Stories on Friday, asking her audience for advice.

Kate Upton shared the disturbing scenario involving a father, “recently out of rehab,” who allegedly became drunk and high while traveling with his 10-year-old daughter, threatened a taxi driver with a gun, and demanded to be dropped off on a highway at midnight.

“Truly asking … lawyers/judges/advocates/law enforcement/parents,” Upton wrote, opening her post with a direct appeal for guidance.

She then outlined a scenario involving a father, “recently out of rehab,” traveling alone with his 10-year-old daughter.

“He gets drunk and high on pills, saying he has a gun on him, and threatens to SHOOT the taxi driver if he does NOT drop them off on the highway at midnight to walk home,” Upton described.

She added that the taxi driver refused the demand, saying they would rather be shot than leave the child on the highway.

The actress concluded her message with a series of questions: “Is this an emergency? A crime? Would you be scared for your child?” She also included a comment box for feedback, inviting responses from her audience.

Upton has been married to MLB star Justin Verlander since 2017. While the couple does not have a 10-year-old daughter, as described in the scenario, they are parents to a 6-year-old daughter named Genevieve.

Since the post, Upton has remained silent, offering no further details about the situation.

Fans took to Upton’s latest post to address her Instagram Stories, expressing concern for her and her family.

“It’s such a bizarre question to ask without any real context,” one fan said in the comments section.

“A highway drop-off where the child and father live nearby may be normal, depending on where they live. Is there a shortcut? Also, is dad being antagonized? proof of drugs & liquor,” another person asked. “Is the person driving going against this person in any way for the benefit of themselves?”

“Justin is so supportive, and I don’t think that he would honestly have a strong opinion in that way. He’s a lover, not a judge,” she shared in a 2017 interview with PEOPLE Magazine  while discussing her search for the perfect wedding dress. “Our relationship is my favorite thing about my life right now.”

After their wedding, Justin Verlander reflected on the magical day he shared with Kate Upton. “It was a very special moment. It was pretty storybook. The moment the gates opened and I saw her walking down the aisle, I lost it. She looked so beautiful, and I had been looking forward to that day for a long time,” he shared in 2018.

“All the emotions came to me, and it was everything I had imagined it would be and more,” Verlander added. “Being able to look out and see everyone that we love and her walking down the aisle was a very special moment that I’ll never forget. I’m truly blessed to be able to share these experiences with my best friend, and all our close friends and family were there.”
