The coaching staff of the Seattle Storm is under serious allegations of player mistreatment, as reported by the Sun-Times. A law firm hired by the team is investigating claims of harassment and bullying related to on-court performance during the 2024 WNBA season.

A source has informed the outlet that the allegations are related to incidents that occurred during practices. The investigation has reportedly been active for at least two weeks. The Women’s National Basketball Players Association has confirmed that it is aware of the investigation but has not disclosed any details. The Seattle Storm has not released a statement regarding the allegations. Head coach Noelle Quinn, who was promoted in 2021 following the retirement of Dan Hughes, leads a coaching staff that includes Perry Huang, Ebony Hoffman, and Pokey Chapman.

The Storm had an eventful year, finishing the 2024 season with a 25-15 record before being swept by the Las Vegas Aces in the first round of the playoffs. The allegations come at a critical time as six players, including Nneka Ogwumike, center Mercedes Russle, and guard Sami Whitcomb are set to become unrestricted free agents in January.

The investigation reportedly began after multiple players came forward with their experiences, shedding light on the alleged mistreatment. The outcome of this probe could have far-reaching implications for the Storm’s coaching staff and its future in the league.
