Sony Pictures has officially changed the One of Them Days release date for its upcoming buddy comedy starring Emmy winner Keke Palmer and Grammy winner SZA. This marks the latter’s feature acting debut. The film was originally slated for a January 24, 2025 theatrical release date.
“Best friends and roommates Dreux (Palmer) and Alyssa (SZA) are about to have One of Them Days,” reads the film’s official synopsis. “When they discover Alyssa’s boyfriend has blown their rent money, the duo finds themselves going to extremes in a comical race against the clock to avoid eviction and keep their friendship intact.”
When is the new One of Them Days release date?
One of Them Days will now arrive in theaters a week earlier on January 17, 2025, just in time for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend. Its new release date will pit the film directly against Universal Pictures’ Wolf Man remake. Additional cast includes Katt Williams, Lil Rel Howery, Maude Apatow, Janelle James, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, Joshua Neal, Aziza Scott, and Patrick Cage.
The film is directed by Lawrence Lamont from a screenplay written by Syreeta Singleton. The creative duo is best known for their work on the Rap Sh!t series, where Rae also served as the creator and executive producer. The film is produced by Rae, Singleton, Sara Diya Rastogi, Deniese Davis, and Charles D. King, James Lopez, and Poppy Hanks. In addition to starring, Palmer is executive producing alongside Sharon Palmer through their Big Boss banner.
