Diddy Writes Letter To Judge Before His Sentencing Tomorrow • Hollywood Unlocked

According to Deadline, Diddy might be looking at even more charges in his sex trafficking case, prosecutors revealed today in court.

During a brief court appearance before federal Judge Arun Subramanian,  Assistant U.S. Attorney Emily Johnson kept it vague about the ongoing investigation. While she assured the court that the trial date wouldn’t change, she hinted that “any additional charges will have little discovery information” attached to them.

Prosecutors from Damian Williams’ office suggested that more indictments could be on the horizon, implying that additional charges are likely coming. AUSA Johnson also noted that “technology is fickle,” but promised that the government would speed up getting more evidence to the defense. She confirmed that all communications between “Victim 1” and Diddy have already been handed over to his legal team.

Arrested by the NYPD on September 16 in a hotel lobby in New York City, Combs is hit with charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, and transporting individuals for prostitution. Currently locked up and repeatedly denied bail, Combs’ trial is set to kick off on May 5 next year.

As has been the case for all hearings, Combs was present in court on Wednesday and exchanged pleasantries with the judge before the 19-minute session began. Unlike previous hearings, his mother wasn’t there, but several of his children were in attendance.

With the next hearing in this complicated case scheduled for March 17, Combs will remain confined in the tough Metropolitan Detention Center for at least three more months.

The government alleges that Combs and his crew pressured both women and men into extended sexual encounters, dubbed “freak offs,” with male sex workers. They claim these individuals were drugged, threatened with violence, and physically restrained from leaving the hotel rooms where these “freak offs” took place and were recorded. Among the numerous civil cases filed against him recently, the artist is also accused of raping and assaulting minors as young as 13.
