Bronwyn Newport set the record straight about Todd Bradley‘s alleged cheating on Wednesday night’s Watch What Happens Live after bringing up his “infidelity” amid questions about their marriage on the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
As she also addressed claims of Todd, 65, being “too harsh” with her on camera, teased the upcoming reunion episodes, and commented on her castmates’ reaction to her revelation about Todd, Bronwyn, 39, revealed his most and least favorite Housewives and admitted that they moved past their marriage hurdle “pretty quickly.”
“A lot of it was a misunderstanding. We have different boundaries,” Bronwyn explained on the December 18 episode of WWHL. “Todd never did anything physical with anybody. It wasn’t this big affair. It was really that I was uncomfortable with how much he was talking to somebody who was very flirty with him. But what I was trying to tell the ladies that night is that I’m insecure. I take things really personally. It’s hard for me and I used that as an example. I wish I hadn’t.”
According to Bronwyn, she doesn’t believe viewers have an accurate vision of what her and Todd’s marriage is really like.
“Two things are happening here. One: So much of what’s really special and wonderful between Todd and I, he wants to be private, so I knew that was never being filmed for the show. And then also, I wanted to just go on the show and be myself,” she shared. “Everybody wants to, like, look perfect and happy on TV. And I’m kind of like, well, ‘There’s some days that Todd drives me crazy. I don’t know what to tell you.’”
Although Todd did not watch last night’s episode of RHOSLC, Bronwyn confirmed the two of them spoke about her revelation to her co-stars.
“I called him in Puerto Vallarta. But there’s some things you just don’t want to see,” she revealed of Todd not wanting to see how the conversation played out.
As for whether he’s “too harsh,” Bronwyn denied Todd was.
“I know Todd and I. Todd is great to me the majority of the time. He just hates the camera,” she reasoned.
Looking back on the recently taped reunion, Bronwyn described the filming session as a “long day” and a “wild ride.”
“I really went into it wanting to fix whatever I needed to fix and reconcile with the people I could. And I like, kind of hit my mark on that. Not everybody, and I fixed it, but some of us did,” she teased. “There’s a lot going on.”
Regarding her ongoing tension with Lisa Barlow, 51, Bronwyn said they “tried” to reconcile as she admitted to feeling disappointed by her and Meredith Marks‘ reaction to Todd’s infidelity.
“We tried. We’ll try again. And maybe again and again.”
“I’m appreciative of someone holding my feet to the fire too, so we got there, but it was shocking in the moment,” she explained, then sharing that the support she got from Heather Gay, 50, felt good.
“It was so touching that she really kind of stood up for me,” she noted.
Bronwyn then looked back on the dog attack she sustained earlier this year, commenting that it was “really hard.”
“It was a tight turnaround to go from that to Puerto Vallarta. I wanted to be there. I wanted to have a good time. I didn’t want to be at home licking my wounds,” she told Andy Cohen, 56, who then asked about the dog poop seen in her home.
“It happens. We have six. There’s a lot. It’s definitely on me. It was snowy, we had a camera crew. It’s a big crew,” she shared.
Moving on to Todd’s most and least favorite cast members, Bronwyn named Mary Cosby, 52, and Lisa, respectively.
Also on the live airing, after Todd confirmed he did not watch Tuesday’s episode, he reacted to claims of being too harsh to Bronwyn on camera.
“Well, we talked about it at the reunion and I said… I probably did appear to be too harsh,” he revealed.
Andy then questioned him about how little he wanted to be on the show.
“I’m not sure I can quantify that, Andy. It would be a low number,” Todd admitted.
Later, on the WWHL: After Show, Bronwyn was asked if Todd’s hot mic moment shading Lisa’s Vida Tequila impacted her friendship with Lisa.
“Lisa’s held my feet to the fire for way less. She must really like Todd more than me. She didn’t seem that mad about it,” Bronwyn shared. “She offered Todd a whole Vida tequila tasting to change his mind. I never had one yet. But I will say, I had the John Barlow, the Vida and Fresca, and it’s everything.”
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season five airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
