RHOC’s Heather Dubrow Faces Backlash Over Prada Look

Heather Dubrow faced backlash on Instagram after sharing a photo of herself sporting a Prada two-piece ensemble during an outing with her Real Housewives of Orange County castmates over the weekend.

After stepping out with Tamra Judge, 57, Shannon Beador, 60, Gina Kirschenheiter, 40, and Emily Simpson, 48, the 55-year-old mother of four posted a video of her look — along with a series of photographs — that got the attention of her online audience — but not in a good way.

“BEST time with the girls yesterday! Sorry about the caviar [Emily Simpson]!!!! So many of you asked for better pics of my velvet skirt and jacket – so here you go! I wish I had a better pic of the matching bow in my hair!!! Would you wear this????” Heather asked in the caption of her December 22 slideshow.

In one of her photos, Heather was seen showing off her Prada look, which she paired with a gold shirt, black tights, and a gold handbag.

“Jeez you’re 60 not 18,” one person complained in a comment.

“55 actually!” Heather clarified in her response.

Another person suggested that while Heather was the right size for the look, it was far too youthful for her to be wearing.

“Even though it might fit you, it looks like something an 18-year-old [would] wear,” they wrote. 

“Sorry there should be an age restriction on mini skirts for all ladies. We aren’t dead but no longer in our 20-30-40 early 50. Heather you got so class, just not the best style for you!!!” a third person agreed.

But according to Heather, she doesn’t subscribe to the idea that you have to be a certain age to wear certain pieces.

“Don’t agree with this – wear what makes you feel fabulous!” she declared.

The Real Housewives of Orange County season 19 is expected to begin filming soon.
