No Good Deed stars Ray Romano and Lisa Kudrow gave tourists at Warner Bros. lot a thrill when they showed up for photos at the famed Friends couch.
But Romano still had a word for those who believe the Burbank lot is only famous for the long-running NBC comedy.
“Hey I’m on the Warner Bros lot and we’re by the Friends couch,” Romano said on an Instagram video posted by No Good Deed creator Liz Feldman. “Everybody is, oh there’s Friends, and they forget that Everybody Loves Raymond filmed on Warner Bros. too. I just want to make sure they remember.”
“It’s not all about Friends,” he continued. “We were two stages down.”
Kudrow then appears at the couch and acknowledges that Friends first shot on Stage 5 — home of Raymond — before moving to Stage 24.
On December 12, Netflix debuted No Good Deed, a half-hour dark comedy from Dead To Me creator Feldman. The eight-episode series stars Kudrow and Romano as Lydia and Paul, who decide to move on from their empty nest to forge a new life, they list their gorgeous 1920s Spanish-style villa located in one the most desirable neighborhoods in Los Angeles — and the real estate frenzy begins.
Multiple families all race to buy what they believe to be their dream house, convinced it will fix all of their very different problems. But as Lydia and Paul know all too well, sometimes the home of your dreams can be a true nightmare. As they struggle to hide the dark and dangerous secrets that linger inside their longtime home, Paul and Lydia begin to realize that the only way they’ll escape the past is to finally face it.
Feldman serves as creator, showrunner, director and executive producer. Silver Tree also directs and executive produces. Christie Smith, Jessica Elbaum and Will Ferrell executive produce for Gloria Sanchez Productions.
