‘Leaving Neverland’ director: Michael Jackson ‘worse than Jeffrey Epstein’ – National

#Socialites, get into this blood-boiling story: White teen John Sheeran recently pleaded guilty to trying to drown a Black teenager in a Cape Cod pond. And if that wasn’t bad enough, prosecutors said the teen who was 14 at the time was calling his black “friend” the n-word while holding his head underwater. But the real kicker? Another white kid with him was laughing and calling the drowning teen “George Floyd” because he couldn’t breathe.

The victim’s own words in his statement are chilling: he said the other defendant “started laughing and called me George Floyd, obviously making fun of me and showing NO remorse.” Can you imagine the terror, the disrespect? This boy was fighting for his life while being mocked with the name of a man who died begging for air. Thankfully, somebody on the beach heard the commotion and pulled the young boy out of the water.

Now, we all know the significance of George Floyd’s name. His murder at the hands of Derek Chauvin back in 2020 sparked a movement, a cry for justice, and a demand for change.

Sheeran, now 15, is facing some serious charges over the Goose Pond in Chatham incident that happened on July 19, 2023: attempted murder and assault with a dangerous weapon. He’s being charged as a “youthful offender,” which means the judge can decide to sentence him as a juvenile or an adult. As for the other kid involved, his name hasn’t been released because he’s being charged as a juvenile. The district attorney has already said this was a racially motivated attack. No surprise there.

Sheeran’s lawyer is trying to downplay the whole thing, saying it was just “horseplay” that “got out of control, clearly.” To most people, they see it as attempted murder fueled by hate along with an insult to George Floyd’s memory as well as a slap in the face to every Black person who has ever faced racism.

Sheeran’s sentencing is set for February where he’ll learn his fate.
