Alec Baldwin’s Wife Hilaria Rings In 2025 With ‘No Fear’ Amid Dropped ‘Rust’ Charges

Last year, the “30 Rock” actor was put on trial for involuntary manslaughter relating to the 2021 shooting of late cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. However, the judge dismissed the case with prejudice three days into the trial after determining that the prosecution had withheld evidence from the defense.

Fortunately, she looked much happier in a snap that featured the family gathered around the kitchen table. Alec is standing beside his 11-year-old daughter, Carmen, while Hilaria crouches down between two of her younger children.

“Happy New Year! Feliz año nuevo! Love you all and can’t wait to have an amazing 2025! Only good things. No negativity and no fear,” she wrote in the caption, adding, “We wish you so much happiness.”

“Sending much love to you and your beautiful family. Many good wishes for 2025,” one fan echoed.

“Happy New Year to you and your beautiful family,” another follower replied next to a red heart emoji.

“Thank you! Happy New Year to you and your family and yes, positivity and peace for 2025!” a third fan chimed in. “The world only needs love and kindness! This is what I feel from you here!”

As previously reported by The Blast, a press release issued on December 23 revealed that “Rust” prosecutor Kari T. Morrissey had withdrawn the State’s notice of appeal, which had been filed just before Thanksgiving. Although the trial was dismissed with prejudice in July, Morrissey had been trying to change the judge’s mind and get her to reinstate the charges.

However, it appears that she has officially given up on pursuing criminal charges against the “Beetlejuice” actor, as the press release states, “The Special Prosecutor intended to pursue an appeal of the dismissal, however, the Office of the Attorney General notified the Special Prosecutor that the Attorney General did not intend to exhaustively pursue the appeal on behalf of the prosecution.”

Although the State “strongly disagrees” with the judge’s decision to dismiss the charges against Baldwin and deny concealing evidence, they are willing to dismiss the case against the actor, which has been going on for more than three years.

“This has always been about seeking justice for Halyna Hutchins,” Morrisey said in a statement, per the release. “We regret that Mr. Baldwin will not be held accountable for the role he played in the death of Halyna Hutchins and as we withdraw the appeal, we do so with the hope that the outstanding lawsuits bring some measure of justice to the family of Halyna Hutchins.”

Halyna Hutchins’ family was not pleased by the news that the actor would no longer face the possibility of time behind bars for his role in her death. Attorney Gloria Allred, who represents Hutchins’ mother, father, and sister in a civil lawsuit against Baldwin and other “Rust” producers, released a statement regarding the decision on Christmas Eve.

“There was no justice, because a jury couldn’t hear the evidence,” Allred said at a news conference held in Los Angeles, insisting that the “Supercell” actor “was responsible, and he is responsible.”

“It’s not over until it’s over, and it’s not over yet,” Allred continued. “Although the attorney general of New Mexico, Raúl Torrez, is the Grinch who stole this Christmas, we will work to ensure that a future Christmas will be without this Grinch.”

The end of the “Rust” trial comes on the eve of their planned reality series, which was announced while the actor was still facing criminal charges.

As The Blast previously reportedly, Baldwin told the Associated Press that he believes that the reality series is scheduled to come out in January.

However, TLC has yet to announce an official release date.
