On Tuesday, Dec 31, fans came out to bring in the New Year with rap star Cardi B at popular miami club, Club E11EVEN.
The “I Like It” rap star showed up in a super sexy black and emerald dress and topped her look with matching lace gloves and the perfect hair and glam to complete her look. The star was center stage performing some her hottest hits like Bodak Yellow and even took some time to turn up with the cast of Zeus Network’s Baddies.
Videos posted online also captured the sweet moment Cardi B and Quavo, who was also in attendance, honor late MiGOS rapper Takeoff with a heartfelt toast.
More On Takeoff’s Passing:
As we previously reported, on November 1, 2022, Takeoff was fatally shot in Houston, Texas. He was killed during a fight over a high-stakes dice game at 810 Billiards & Bowling. The person behind the shooting, Patrick Clarke, has since been arrested for the crime.
Cardi B previously opened up about how she and fellow former MIGOS memeber Offset found out the devestated news about his death. She said on the episode of the Jason Lee Show:
“We was in bed. We was supposed to go to La La’s party in New York and my daughter threw up all over my costume…We just fell asleep and out of nowhere, Offset phone kept ringing, my phone kept ringing. Offset picked up the phone and he’s just like ‘No!’ He screaming and screaming. And I’m like, ‘What’s going on?’ He’s like, ‘Takeoff is dead.’”
She continued recalling, “I smacked him, I was like, ‘Don’t say that.’ He’s just like screaming. Throwing things. Throwing up. Running all over. I was just so scared. I was just crying so much. It was terrible.”
A few months ago, on the second anniversary of his death, Quavo paid tribute to Takeoff, who was also his nephew, writing on his Instagram Story “Forever in our hearts.” He also shared photos of them to his feed, captioning the series, “Til Infinity.”
Although the talented rapper is no longer here, those closes to him have promised to keep his legacy alive.
