Another Marvel casting rumor has surfaced, and this one comes from trusted industry insider Jeff Sneider. According to his report, Stranger Things actress Sadie Sink is wanted for the role of Jean Grey in Marvel’s X-Men.

In his report, Sneider stated: “I’m hearing that Stranger Things star Sadie Sink is being eyed to play Jean Grey in the Marvel Cinematic Universal.” He also added: “Kevin Feige soon plans to introduce a new iteration of the X-Men.”

Mutants and the X-Men have been slowly introduced into the MCU and teased in multiple projects, but they will take a much larger role in the future of the franchise, and Jean Grey is sure to be a huge part of that.

Sneider went on to say that the casting has yet to receive an official review from MCU executives. But, he also revealed that the news of Sink’s inclusion came from the same source that updated him on the cast for the upcoming Beatles movie six months before the news became official.

Sneider went on to explain why Sink’s casting as Jean Grey makes sense Marvel, saying: “Not only does Sink have the right look for Jean Grey with her long, red hair, but Stranger Things is one of the biggest shows in the world.”

With Stranger Things ending its five-season run next year, Sink, will be primed and ready to take on another big project, if she is offered it.

Kevin Feige previously teased the future of the X-Men and how they pertain to Avengers: Secret Wars: “When we were preparing for Avengers: Endgame years ago, it was a matter of getting to the grand finale of our narrative, and then we had to start all over again after that.

“This time, heading into Secret Wars, we already know very well what the story is going to be up until then and after that. The X-Men are an important part of that future.”

What do you all think about Sadie Sink possibly taking on the role of Jean Grey in the MCU?
