Bravo is gearing up for the premiere of Next Gen NYC, which features the kids of several famous people navigating life in New York City. One of the show’s stars, Charlie Zakkour, was recently seen in the background of what has been called a crypto torture arrest.
Next Gen NYC premieres on June 3 and stars the likes of Riley Burruss, Gia Giudice, and Brooks Marks.
According to Page Six, John Woeltz was recently arrested for the brutal kidnapping of crypto millionaire Michael Valentino Teofrasto Carturan. Apparently, this wasn’t a run-of-the-mill kidnapping. He reportedly used a chainsaw and an electric wire to torture his victim. This is said to have been a weeks-long attempt at extortion.
The arrest happened outside a SoHo townhouse, and the footage shows a concerned man in the background. This man just so happens to be Charlie from Next Gen NYC. An insider told the outlet that Charlie sometimes “crashes” at the townhouse, which is located on Prince Street.

Reports say the apartment John had been renting went for $30,000 to $40,000 a month, and it has been described as a frat pad for crypto crimes. It seems John had been torturing Michael in an attempt to gain his crypto passwords. This was discovered when Michael escaped and ran into a police officer, prompting them to search the townhome.
It’s important to note that, other than being present, Charlie had nothing to do with the crime. However, he is involved in crypto. According to Bravo, “Zakkour is a crypto trader and private investor who’s been ruling NYC’s club scene since he was 14, and he knows everyone (and their secrets).”
His description for Next Gen NYC continues, “Charming but blunt, Charlie says exactly what’s on his mind, and sometimes what others wish he wouldn’t. Beneath his tough exterior, he’s fiercely loyal, especially to close confidants like Ava Dash.”
