In an interview with People, the actor revealed, “I have been diagnosed with ALS.” According to the Mayo Clinic, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) “is a nervous system disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. ALS causes loss of muscle control. The disease gets worse over time.”
Eric added, “I am grateful to have my loving family by my side as we navigate this next chapter.”
