Maybe Happy Ending, a touching musical from South Korea about two outdated helper robots finding love, became the clear star of the 78th Tony Awards. In his speech, Arden highlighted empathy as a strength. Criss described the musical as “magical, beautiful, heartfelt, humane.” With six wins, Maybe Happy Ending tied for the most awards this season alongside Buena Vista Social Club and Death Becomes Her.
