Can You Imagine Sending Your Dog to Get Pampered… Only for Them to Get Beat Up?!
Can you imagine dropping your fur baby off to get pampered, groomed, and spoiled only for them to be abused by the very person you trusted? Yeah, nah. That’s exactly what happened at a pet resort in North Carolina, and now the woman behind the horrific actions is locked up and facing some serious charges.
According to police, 28-year-old Kirsten Rhea Taylor of Mooresville was arrested Thursday after disturbing footage surfaced showing her physically abusing several dogs while working at a business called Classy Critters.
Authorities say the investigation popped off on July 18 when a concerned coworker turned in video evidence showing the alleged abuse going down. In the video, Taylor is seen slapping, pushing, slamming, and punching helpless dogs while on the job. Just pure evil.
The footage shocked both pet parents and the community, and it didn’t take long for folks to demand action.

She’s Now Facing FELONY Charges — And The Business Owner Speaks Out
As a result of the footage and growing backlash, Taylor was hit with four felony counts of animal cruelty. She was booked and held on a $10,000 bail, according to police reports.
The owner of Classy Critters, Pam, quickly hopped on Facebook to address the viral video and make it very clear that Taylor has been fired and is no longer associated with the business.
Here’s what she had to say in her full statement:
“Hi I am Pam owner of Classy Critters. I am here to address the video that is going around on social media. This behavior is totally unacceptable, and it was addressed immediately this employee no longer works at Classy Critters. I have zero tolerance for any type of abuse with the animals in my care. I have made this clear with my employees. This has been my life mission for over 40 years and I absolutely love what I do, I love and care deeply for all of them and it breaks my heart that this happened.
I hope that the actions of one bad egg does not reflect on Classy Critters and the entire staff. We give a 120% every day to love and care for all the pets. I have always had a 5 star review until this happened and the majority of the dogs coming here they get so excited before they even make it to the parking lot and can not wait to get in the door, we love it. She has been reported to the Animal control and sheriffs office. I do thank everyone for all your concerns and just want to let you know this has been addressed.”
Pet Owners Aren’t Buying It — One Momma Pulled Up In Person
Whew! If you thought folks were going to let that slide, think again.
One furious pet parent showed up to Classy Critters in person, demanding answers and holding the business accountable for the trauma her dog experienced. A now-viral video shows her confronting the staff, emotions high, and rightfully so.
People are calling for the business to be shut down completely, and others are demanding stricter regulations for groomers and pet facilities across the board.
