Rymir Satterthwaite, the man claiming to be the son of JAY-Z, confirms he did drop his fraud case, in his larger paternity suit against the mogul—but it’s not because he received a settlement or a DNA test. He claims he’s playing chess not checkers as he fights against the defendant’s alleged “bully tactics.”

On July 23, several reports claimed that JAY-Z’s alleged son Rymir Satterthwaite dropped his longstanding fraud case — accusing various court orders of blocking his due process and showing JAY-Z’s alleged wrongdoings and alleged perjury — as of July 18.

In his overall case, Satterthwaite alleges Hov is his father. He also alleges that in 1992 he in fact had a relationship with Rymir’s mother, Wanda Satterthwaite. She later passed away in 2019. Aside from the shocking claim in general, the public was left even more shocked to learn that she was allegedly 16 at the time and JAY-Z 22. However, it’s reported that the courts have often denied the Satterwaites’ claims due to lack of evidence.

In 2010, Wanda requested a paternity test for two people in question: JAY-Z, born Shawn Corey Carter, and Robert Graves. The latter took the test and was determined not to be the father. JAY-Z never showed up. Wanda went on to file several lawsuit, around eight or so, and most have been dismissed. Keeping his mother’s fight alive, Rymir has his aunt helping him in court.

Rymir Satterthwaite, JAY-Z’s Alleged Son, Drops Fraud Case, Claims He’s Facing ‘Bully Tactics’ But Fight Isn’t Over

While taking to his social media pages on Sunday (July 27), Rymir said:

“It’s been a crazy couple of weeks. But, I have not stopped my fight. I did withdraw my case, it’s for a reason. It’s not ‘cause I’m stopping with it or not going to refile it or anything like that. It’s just a lot going on behind closed doors. That’s only one case that we withdrew for right now. But it’s a lot going on. You know how this industry works. These judges, these lawyers, these high celebrity people, they try to use all different types of tactics, bully tactics, different types of stuff to slow it down and just change the narrative.

So, we had to step back and play chess not checkers. So, we’ll be sitting back and we’re just observing everything right now. I just ask that y’all keep the support. Keep the support. I have not gotten any DNA tests. I have not gotten any settlement or anything like that. I wouldn’t just take it. I would let y’all know, honestly. Even if it wasn’t y’all business, y’all been here for me, all these years, supporting me. I wouldn’t dare just run away with no money or nothing like that. That’s not what it is. As I said before, just keep your eyes open.

This is bigger than me. This was never just about me. I’m trying to change things for the world, for the future. We need this to be changed. We don’t need to continue to go into these court rooms and don’t get fair due process and everybody don’t get discoveries — you just get treated unfairly. I’m standing on business and I will continue to fight.

Please don’t think that just because y’all seen that withdrawal that it’s over. It’s not over, y’all. Continue the fight with me. Continue to support me. I will support y’all. I love all y’all. Let’s just keep moving forward. That’s all we can do, right? Can’t sit there and dwell on nothing. I got a family. I gotta take care of my family. I’m grown. That’s what I do. Don’t sit there and complain about too much. Try not to complain at all. But, I appreciate all y’all’s love and support. It’s not over.”
