Erykah Badu is in a celebratory mood. On Monday (July 28) The singer announced a run of 2025 fall U.S. dates marking the 25th anniversary of her 2000 sophomore album, Mama’s Gun. The tour, Mama’s Gun ’25: The Return of Automatic Slim, will kick off on Oct. 3 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles and include stops in Las Vegas, Boston, Detroit, Cincinnati, Atlanta, Houston, Chicago, Brooklyn and Nashville before winding down on Dec. 10 with a gig in her hometown of Dallas at the Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory.

Tickets for the 16-date run of shows in honor of the LP featuring some of her most beloved tracks — including the Grammy-nominated songs “Bag Lady” and “Didn’t Cha Know?,” as well as “Cleva” “… & On” and “Booty” — will go on sale via a Live Nation pre-sale for select dates (using the promo code LIGHTS) beginning on Wednesday (July 30) at 10 a.m. local time. A public on-sale will follow on Friday (Aug. 1) at 10 a.m. local time here.

Mama’s Gun was the follow-up to Badu’s landmark 1997 neo soul debut album, Baduizm. Before she hits the road in the fall, Badu will embark on the Abi & Alan tour with The Alchemist in support of their upcoming collab album, whose release date has not yet been announced. That LP will be her first release since 2010’s New Amerykah Part Two (Return of the Ankh) and the joint tour is slated to launch on Aug. 8 in Seattle at the Showbox SODO and run through an Aug. 24 stop at the Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theater in Austin, Texas.
