Amber Desiree “AD” Smith and Ollie Sutherland continue to prove to be the perfect match after meeting on the Netflix reality show.
“The moment I walked in, it sounds really cliché, but it’s like everyone else became a little bit invisible, and I just [had] tunnel vision on her,” Ollie said of AD in a confessional from the first episode, which hit Netflix in August 2025. “AD’s just got this crazy, like, fiery sex appeal.’ The moment I saw her, I said, ‘That’s a problem right there.’ My favorite type of problem, though.”
The two Love Is Blind alums — AD appeared on season 6 of the U.S. version, while Ollie was on the first iteration of the British spinoff — quickly matched up. Their romance grew from strength to strength until AD’s shock elimination in the fifth episode.
AD and Ollie ultimately found their way back to each other, getting engaged in March 2025. They revealed two months later that they are expecting a baby.

Love at First Sight
AD and Ollie had an instantaneous connection from the minute they walked into the Mexican villa. The pair immediately teamed up for the “Let’s Puck” challenge, where they had to demonstrate a sex position, which ended in a steamy kiss.
That same night, Ollie told AD she was already his “biggest fan” and they agreed to match for the evening.
“I thought I was gonna come in here in ‘Jack the Lad’ mode, and you took me by surprise,” Ollie said, noting he was initially hoping for fun in the sun and instead of a lasting romance. “My plan was just to find the baddest girl in here, match up with her, keep my feelings out of it, and head for the finish line.”
He further revealed in a confessional that AD presented “all the signs of a genuine partner.”
“I wasn’t expecting that. This wasn’t even plan B. This is more, like, plan Z,” he quipped. “See what happens.”
Compatibility Leads to Drama

Ollie and AD won the second compatibility challenge of the season, titled “You Like Whaat?!!” After host Nick Lachey read out a series of scandalous secrets and sexual preferences about the contestants, either the girls or the guys had to figure out whether their partner’s answer aligned with their own opinion. As Ollie and AD had the most similarities, they won the challenge and received a date.
After the romantic outing, the pair visited the boardroom for the chance to bring in two new arrivals. They set up Love Is Blind UK alum Freddie Powell with former Bachelorette Rachel Recchia, as well as Too Hot to Handle’s Louis Russell with Alex Zamora from Temptation Island.
Bringing in Alex, however, caused friction for AD and Ollie. The North Carolina native questioned why Ollie brought up Alex’s name around “17 times.” AD thought that he wanted to get to know her for himself, which he denied.
After Louis’ date with Alex, she indeed chatted to Ollie. The British reality TV star, however, stuck with AD and rematched with her that evening.
Trying Something New

In the fourth episode of Perfect Match, Clayton Echard and Sandy Gallagher chose to send AD on a date with The Ultimatum’s J.R. Warren to test her connection with Ollie. AD, however, stayed loyal to her British beau.
“I feel more connected to you than my fiancée on Love Is Blind, which is crazy, but it’s true,” Ollie said, referring to his ex Demi Brown when he and AD matched for the night.
AD, for her part, noted that she was “happy where [she’s] at” with Ollie and didn’t want to jeopardize their bond for a new fling.
Bombshell Elimination
After the next challenge, winners Lucy Syad and Daniel Perfetto had to name their top compatible couples. They picked AD and Ollie, as well as Freddie and partner Madison Errichiello.
Lucy and Daniel’s decision meant that one-half of the named pairs had to go on a date with two new arrivals, and the other would be sent home. They picked Ollie to go out with Justine Nbiba and Olivia Rae, which eliminated AD from the competition.
“I’m not in a good place right now,” Ollie said in a confessional after AD was sent home. “She’s my best friend, like, that’s my girl, do you know what I mean? I don’t want to see her go, and my heart’s breaking for her.”
To stay in the house, Ollie rematched Love Island USA season 2 winner Justine.
Reunited and It Feels So Good
At the end of the sixth episode, AD and the rest of the eliminated ladies returned for a mixer with the guys.
“Jesus Christ of Nazareth, who is that?” Ollie asked when he saw AD walk into the room. “Oh snap, it’s AD. Oh s***, we’re in trouble. … To put it lightly, the boys are f***ed — including me.”
The rest of Ollie and AD’s Perfect Match love story is TBD.
March 2025

Ollie proposed to AD during the Love Is Blind season 8 reunion, which aired five months before their Perfect Match journey hit Netflix.
“You’re my best friend, you’re the love of my life. I’ve never felt as happy as I have since I’ve met you,” he said during his beachside proposal. “Nothing would make me happier than spending the rest of my life loving you.”
July 2025
AD confirmed in May that she is pregnant with the pair’s first baby, later telling Us Weekly about their future plans.
“Wedding planning is going slowly but surely. We’re just taking it day by day, really,” she told Us exclusively at the Netflix Summer Break event. “I’m loving being a fiancée, so I’m not really in a rush. We’re going to get married this year at some point, so we’re [taking it] day by day.”
AD also revealed that she was “feeling very blessed” and had a “great” pregnancy thus far.
“I’m just waiting around for [our daughter’s] arrival,” she told Us, also revealing what she loves most about their romance. “There’s so many components to a beautiful relationship, but I think communication, transparency and willingness to be the best version of yourself for your partner, and I think that’s what is making us so successful.”
She added, “We’re still pretty early in our relationship, but I know I want to be the best version of myself, not only for myself, but for him. He’s working on the same goal to be a better version of him, and now we have a bigger goal, which is our daughter.”
