Denise Richards Makes Legal Move, Estranged Husband Calls BS

The legal war between Denise Richards and her estranged husband Aaron Phypers continues, with fans having a field day trolling the former couple. 

The online chatter began after new reports revealed the former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star had filed a new motion to kick her ex out of her rented property. Richards claimed she needed space to pack her belongings before Phypers got an eviction notice.

Denise Richards and Aaron Phypers have been butting heads since the latter filed for divorce in July 2025. She accused him of domestic violence while he alleged their marriage ended due to her infidelity.

Richards filed a motion this week, begging the court to evict her estranged husband and his family from their Calabasas, California, property. She claimed she needed them gone for 8 hours to pack her belongings, her late mother’s items, and get her dogs.

The TV personality explained that she had been renting the property during her marriage to Phypers. However, she stopped paying rent in January after her ex and his parents refused to move out. She noted the landlord contacted her in July, asking them to vacate the home by August.

Richards claimed the landlord contacted her again about the overdue fees, and she needed to access the property to get her things before Phypers got evicted.

She begged the court to accept her request for the brief eviction, fearing that her belongings would get damaged when the landlord finally evicts her ex and his family, per TMZ.

Sources shed light on Phypers’ reaction to Richards’ motion, noting he called BS on her story. They claimed he saw the legal filing as another bully tactic, claiming his estranged wife continued to divert the public’s attention from her cheating scandal.

Additionally, sources argued that Richards’ domestic violence allegations were a last-ditch effort to ruin Phypers’ image while elevating hers. They stressed that someone who feared for their life, like Richards claimed she did, would not visit her abuser unannounced.

Richards made waves mid-July when she dropped by Phypers’ home unannounced to retrieve her belongings and dogs; however, the situation escalated and needed police intervention.

Sources added that Richards has “kept all personal, business, and third-party equipment from Phypers, leaving him with only a shirt on his back for the last 50 days.”

The new reports about Richards and Phypers’ drama sparked a heated debate amongst fans. Some sided with Phypers while others supported Richards, theorizing she was the victim. Someone bashed her estranged husband as greedy, writing:

“Why is he occupying a house Denise paid for and moving his parents and brother with him? He should get on with his life already. He seems to want to stretch whatever financial gain he can get from her.”

The individual claimed they saw a clip of Phypers being “abusive” to Richards on the “RHOBH,” adding that he wanted her lifestyle but couldn’t afford it. Another agreed, noting they understood why the TV personality cheated on Phypers. “A woman NEEDS a good MAN,” they stressed.

On the other hand, Phypers’ supporters slammed Richards as a liar for allegedly dropping false allegations against her ex. Someone claimed she was bullying him to stay relevant and get media coverage, adding, “I truly feel sorry for anyone who gets involved with her. What a mess she is.”

The mid-July incident, per The Blast, saw Richards visiting Phypers’ home unannounced to retrieve her dogs. A 911 audio captured her estranged husband’s frantic call to cops, noting he feared for his parents’ safety.

Reports claimed Richards had confronted Phypers’ parents after they let her into the home, allegedly screaming at them and shoving her fingers in their faces. She also got into a heated dispute with Phypers’ brother.

Following the news, Richards’ attorney defended her actions, claiming she did not break any laws despite her restraining order against Phypers. The legal rep explained that Richards dropped by because she knew Phypers wasn’t home and desperately needed to confirm her dog’s safety.

Richards’ heated confrontation at Phypers’ home sparked concerns about her well-being after she was seen with what appeared to be a black eye. The Blast covered the story, reporting that she was photographed with a large dark bruising on her eye and a smaller spot below her chin.

Although the suspected injuries followed her run-in with Phypers’ family, sources claimed concern was unnecessary. They alleged the black eye wasn’t real, claiming it was “just lighting and shadow.”

These sources also alleged the bruises might stem from Richards’ beauty treatments. They noted she underwent microneedling and PRP injection.

Nonetheless, legal expert attorney Amy Lass noted the domestic violence claim wasn’t a good look for Phypers and could affect his spousal support demands in the divorce proceedings.
