Clipse became the first ever Hip Hop artists to perform a rap concert at The Vatican when they joined John Legend in St. Peter’s Square.

Grace for the World was the first ever concert hosted at the iconic holy site and was co-directed by Pharrell Williams, featuring voices such as classical singer Andrea Bocelli, Jennifer Hudson and country star, Jelly Roll.

During John Legend’s portion of the event, he brought out both members of the Clipse to perform their collaboration “The Birds Don’t Sing”.

It was a fitting moment given the spiritual bent of the track and No Malice’s embrace of religion in recent years.

The Virginia duo have been spreading their influence on Hip Hop this year with Freddie Gibbs claiming they have been inspiring him of late.

Speaking on The Joe Budden Podcast, Gibbs proved he had nothing but love for the Virginia rap duo.

Gibbs revealed his reaction to listening to the album: “I hit Pusha T like ‘That shit hard my n-gga.”

He also revealed his favorite song from the album was “F.I.C.O.” and added that it was his “favorite song right now”.

Gibbs also had praise for No Malice with Budden commenting: “I keep saying Malice is my rapper of the year,” to which the Alfredo star replied “Yup, between me and him.”

The Clipse also mean so much to Tyler, The Creator that he recorded his verse for their album tens of times to make sure that it was perfect.

Speaking on Hot 97, Tyler detailed the extreme lengths he went to to ensure he didn’t let Pusha T and No Malice down, as well as Pharrell Williams who produced the track.

He said: “It took me about 79 to 100 times to do it, and I almost texted Pusha, ‘I don’t think this is gonna work.’ It’s been a few times I’ve gotten nervous and trying to nail that verse with two of my Mount Rushmores, produced by Mount Rushmore, was like I can’t fuck this up for me.”

Tyler added that he kept Pusha waiting for the verse: “It took me so long to write that and just trying to perfect it … Was really in that bitch sweating. That n-gga Pusha sent me that before I went on tour, probably in April and I ain’t get him that shit until end of May, early June.”
