Alexia Nepola is coming off a great season of The Real Housewives of Miami. Now, ahead of production on season eight, she’s opening up about knowing Mauricio Umansky and finding him attractive. She’s also giving an update on Todd Nepola.
Mauricio, 55, has a new collaboration with the clothing brand Ari Soho. There was recently an event for it in Miami, and in addition to Mauricio attending, so did Alexia.
The RHOM star spoke to Page Six about her ties to the estranged husband of Kyle Richards. Alexia, 58, began by saying, “So, I met Mauricio in our upfronts. Maybe in like season one or two in New York.” From there, she stated that she’d seen him over the years at various Bravo events.
Regarding his new collaboration with Ari Soho, she said, “I’m very proud of him. I know people will be haters, and they’ll criticize, but I’m rooting for him. I feel like he has a lot to celebrate, and you’re never too old to be the face of a brand.”
Alexia went on to praise him, saying, “And I think he looks really hot and sexy in it! I don’t know if you can use that or not. In a respectful way! Kyle, don’t get mad at me!”
The interviewer then asked if Maurico is the type of man she’s usually interested in. She responded, “No. I don’t have a type, right? I don’t have a type. No, but he’s not my type — especially lately with, like, his behavior. He’s not my type.” Alexis also said she’s probably not his type.
According to her, “I think I’m a little too old for him, also, by the way, ’cause we know he likes [them] very young.” Next, her love life came up. Alexia revealed, “I’m good. I’m happy with myself. I’m dating myself. I’m always so busy, honestly.”
Alexia went on to talk about her friends and how she has a great relationship with the ladies from the show. The interviewer continued the discussion by mentioning how Todd Nepola included her in his Thanksgiving post on social media.
Alexia responded, “I don’t follow him on social media.” She expounded on this boundary, saying, “I think it’s better for me.”
She continued, giving an update on her status with Todd. “We’re in a good place now. I don’t like to live with — I like to live with peace and love in my heart. Like I told you before, I don’t know how to unlove a person. Once I’ve loved you, I guess I love too hard,” Alexia said.
Regarding whether she could ever see them reconciling their relationship, Alexia explained, “I’m in a different chapter in my life right now, and I’ve done a lot of healing, but you know, sometimes distance is good. So, I feel like we both needed that.”
