Add yet another villain onto the roster! A new rumor villains from Daredevil are set to cameo in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
The rumor mill has been flooded with reports about who and what will appear in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. From a cameo by a familiar face to an introduction of a new villain, the movie seemed absolutely chock-full. However, the one thing that seems to be absent from these reports is any mention of Daredevil.
Ever since Charlie Cox had his cameo in No Way Home, fans have been convinced that Kingpin or Daredevil will play a sizeable role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. However, as far as anyone in the rumor mill can tell, neither the hero nor the villain of Hell’s Kitchen will be making an appearance in the upcoming film.
Daredevil’s Role In Spider-Man: Brand New Day
While Daredevil himself won’t be appearing in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, it seems that a villain from his titular series may end up making a cameo. A rumor from Hollywood insider DanielRPK suggests The Hand, a team of villainous ninjas heavily associated with Daredevil, is set to appear in the project. While no details were given regarding their involvement, it’s likely that they’ll play a relatively small role.
This rumor actually informs fans more about what role the Punisher will play in Spider-Man: Brand New Day than Daredevil. Frank Castle has been heavily tied to The Hand in recent years, and it’s likely that the film will use their cameo to build out his mythos further. The reason the rumor is light on details might mean that the team plays a larger role in The Punisher TV special coming out around the same time as the film.
