First Lady Melania Trump has set a premiere venue for Melania, the Brett Ratner-directed documentary about her return to the White House. It will bow at the recently renamed The Donald J. Trump and The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter.

Amazon declined to comment, and no date has officially been set for the red carpet premiere.

The trailer for the Amazon MGM Studios’ doc, which was made with Melania Trump’s participation and follows her during the 20 days leading up to the 2025 Presidential Inauguration, was released last week. The spot opens with the first lady in the U.S. Capitol rotunda on her husband’s second inauguration day as U.S. President, turning to the camera to say: “Here we go again.”

The project was announced in January, two weeks before President Trump’s return to the White House, and has been the subject of curiosity and scrutiny, not only because of its subject matter, but because it marks the return of Ratner, who has not worked in Hollywood since being accused of sexual misconduct in 2017.

Amazon will release the film exclusively in theaters in the U.S. and select territories overseas on Jan. 30, 2026, with a streaming date on Prime Video not yet set. The film will later be accompanied by a three-part docuseries.

As for the Kennedy Center, last week, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt posted on social media that the center’s board of trustees, who were handpicked by the President, “voted unanimously” to change the name of the historic arts and cultural institution to the Trump-Kennedy Center. On Friday, workers were seen applying Trump’s name to the building, and the website for the center has already been updated to reflect a name change.

Members of President Kennedy’s family and members of Congress have noted that the institution was established by Congress as a “living memorial” to the late president, and as such, its name cannot be changed without congressional action.

It’s the latest development during a rather eventful few months for the center. As reported this month by THR, artists who have recently performed there have been waiting on checks for months after their shows. Earlier in December, Trump hosted this year’s Kennedy Center Honors, with Sylvester Stallone, Kiss, Gloria Gaynor, Michael Crawford and George Strait among the honorees.
