Does Jason Momoa only make a cameo as Lobo in Supergirl? A test screening rumor suggests that the Bastich Bounty Hunter’s role may be smaller than fans hoped!
One of the most exciting aspects of Supergirl is the fact that fans will finally get to see Jason Momoa take on the role of Lobo on the silver screen. It’s a match literally made in heaven, with the actor even originally believing that his cameo in Batman V. Superman was going to be the beloved bounty hunter, not Aquaman.
However, Jason Momoa’s role as Lobo is the one aspect of Supergirl that still remains a mystery. While the character did appear as a supporting character in initial drafts of the graphic novel, he was ultimately cut. This has left fans unclear as to how big of a role the character will play in the upcoming DC Universe film.
Lobo Steals The Spotlight In Supergirl
Details on Jason Momoa’s role in Supergirl were revealed in a recent rumor from MyTimeToShineHello. The scooper remarks that Lobo will play a “supporting role” in the film, with Supergirl encountering him while he’s on a hunt. While further details weren’t providing, the leaker added that Lobo would ultimately end up helping the Woman of Tomorrow on her quest.
This rumor lines up with some minor leaks that came out of the production of Supergirl, with drone videos showing (what we now know is) Jason Momoa’s Lobo helping Supergirl face off against an army. So while his role may not be a major one, it does seem as though Momoa will have more than a mere cameo as the character.
Supergirl is set to release on June 26, 2026. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the DC Universe!
