Is this really about accountability or is Tyler Perry being lined up for a payday? That’s the big question swirling after alleged text messages emerged showing his latest accuser asking for money well before any lawsuit hit the courts!
Freshly surfaced alleged text messages between Tyler Perry and his sexual battery accuser, Mario Rodriguez, are raising eyebrows as the messages sent on August 31 paint a very different picture than what hit the court docs last week…
In the texts, Rodriguez reportedly opens up about not feeling well and points the blame at ongoing dental issues. He allegedly tells Perry he knows he promised not to ask him for anything, but says he doesn’t have health insurance and fears a serious infection…even referencing his father’s death as part of that fear. Heavy stuff… but also oddly timed.
Interestingly enough, the messages reportedly continue with Rodriguez saying he’s afraid and just wants to make sure the health issue isn’t serious. No accusations. No panic about boundaries. Just stress, fear, and according to the texts, money concerns…
But that’s not all..
Other alleged messages from earlier in 2024 reportedly show Rodriguez expressing gratitude toward Perry, thanking him for his support and sending messages filled with appreciation and affection.

All of this is now colliding with a lawsuit Rodriguez filed last week, accusing Perry of sexual assault and sexual battery. In the complaint, Rodriguez claims Perry made unwanted advances and alleges one incident where Perry grabbed his penis.
Perry clearly isn’t backing down.
His attorney, powerhouse lawyer Alex Spiro, didn’t mince words when speaking to TMZ, “This is nothing but a 77 million dollar money grab scam.”
Rodriguez has not yet publicly responded to these text message revelations.
