Milly Alcock is looking spectacular as Supergirl! A new image of the DC Universe’s newest heroine has been released to help promote the upcoming film.
Fans are still riding high from the first official trailer for Supergirl that was released at the tail-end of last year. It’s such a wild departure from the tone of Superman that it cements the DC Universe as a franchise not afraid to take risks. However, that doesn’t mean that Milly Alcock’s breakout project as the Woman of Tomorrow is without complaints.
Perhaps the biggest complaint levied at the trailer is that it’s rather sparse on Milly Alcock actually wearing her Supergirl costume. Aside from the action sequence at the end, the heroine is mostly wearing civilian clothes in her trek across the DC Universe. It’s a decision that certainly has its pros and cons, and has generally divided fans since the footage dropped.
Milly Alcock Dons Her Iconic Suit
Luckily, a new image is seeming to remedy the aforementioned issue. In an article discussion the major releases for 2026, USA Today dropped a never-before-seen image from Supergirl. The photo shows off Milly Alcock wearing the Supergirl suit from the end of the trailer, albeit this time in a much more dingy setting compared to the footage fans saw.

Given Milly Alcock does look a bit battleworn in this image, it does seem as though Supergirl won’t be donning her costume until at least halfway through the upcoming film. However, it does at least show fans that the project isn’t purposefully hiding her super suit. While not everyone’s favorite trend, hopefully this reflects a trend of allowing a more diverse range of costuming in the DC Universe.
