On Saturday (January 10), the Department of Homeland Security took to X and shared a three-and-a-half-minute video showing the moments leading up to Renee Good’s ICE shooting. DHS captioned the post:
“The media continues to fail the American people in their reporting on the events in Minneapolis. New evidence shows that the anti-ICE agitator was STALKING and IMPEDING a law enforcement operation over the course of the morning. The evidence speaks for itself. The legacy media has lost the trust of the American people.”
DHS also shared a post that read, “Reminder: if you lay a finger on a federal officer or agent, you will face the full extent of the law.” On Sunday (January 11), DHS continued to repost the the video of Renee Good in her car in response to a video of Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey.

The clip of Mayor Frey came from his Sunday interview with NBC’s ‘Meet The Press.’ During his interview, Frey called for the federal government to allow state agencies to help investigate Good’s shooting.
His reason being a “deep mistrust” of federal agencies in Minnesota right now. He also responded to claims — shared by President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance — that Good, 37, was driving her car and trying to run over ICE agents intentionally.
Mayor Frey insisted, she was “just trying to leave the scene.” He said, “The ICE agent was not run over, as Trump stated. You had a person that was definitively trying to just get out of there. They were trying to leave the scene.”

Well, responding to Mayor Frey in an attempt to shut him down, the Department of Homeland Security shared its three-and-a-half-minute video again and wrote, “Let’s check the tape. For more than 3 minutes the anti-ICE agitator impeded a law enforcement operation with her vehicle.”
Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem also spoke out slamming Mayor Jacob Frey and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. During a Sunday interview with CNN’s ‘State of the Union,’ Noem insisted that Good “weaponized” her vehicle to “attack the law enforcement officer” who fatally shot her. She said, “You don’t get to change the facts because you don’t like them. What happened in Minneapolis was an act of domestic terrorism.”
She continued to caption the post, “Acts of domestic terrorism like this should be condemned by every politician and elected official. It shouldn’t be hard or remotely controversial.”
