Is Batman the hidden hero in Man of Tomorrow? A rumor reveals what role the Caped Crusader will play in the DC Universe’s upcoming outing.
One of the most interesting details about Man of Tomorrow is that James Gunn seems to be casting a “mystery” heroine for the film. “Mystery” sits in quotes because it’s all but guaranteed that the sequel will be Wonder Woman’s debut in the DC Universe. However, with a reveal that big all-but-confirmed, fans can’t help but wonder who else could appear in the project.
Given Wonder Woman and Superman are set to meet in Man of Tomorrow, the obvious next hero up to bat (ha) is Batman. It’s a character that has been omnipresent in the DC Universe, despite James Gunn having yet to cast an actor for the part. It’s possible that changes with the upcoming film in order to reunite the trinity on the silver screen.
Is Batman In Man Of Tomorrow?
Sadly, it seems the hopes of seeing the trinity again just isn’t in the cards. At least, not in Man of Tomorrow. The Hot Mic host Jeff Sneider recently spoke on the project, seeming to confirm that Wonder Woman will make her DC Universe debut in the film. However, it seems as though Batman will be left on the wayside for now.
“Here’s what I do know. I know that James Gunn is casting Wonder Woman. And I am told that Man of Tomorrow will feature a reference to Batman, but it won’t physically have Batman in it sounds like he met with some folks before the holidays for Wonder Woman.”
Given how packed Man of Tomorrow is set to be, from new characters like Wonder Woman and Brainiac to DC Universe icons like Supergirl likely making a return, it’s not shocking that James Gunn didn’t decide to include Batman in the spectacle. However, given his tendency to bring major characters into these projects, it wouldn’t be surprising if Batman appeared in his next film.
