Ready or Not 2‘s release date has changed yet again, with the upcoming Samara Weaving-led horror movie sequel getting a brand new release date.
When is Ready or Not 2’s new release date?
The new Ready or Not 2 release date is March 20, 2026. The new release date is good news for fans, though, as the movie now moves up a week. Previously, the film was set to release on March 27, 2026, which itself was a new date from the film’s originally announced release date of April 10, 2026.
Ready or Not 2: Here I Come is a sequel to 2019’s Ready or Not. The film sees Weaving reprising her role as Grace, and also features a star-studded ensemble cast that includes Kathryn Newton, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Shawn Hatosy, Néstor Carbonell, Kevin Durand, Olivia Cheng, Nadeem Umar-Khitab, David Cronenberg, and Elijah Wood.
“Moments after surviving an all-out attack from the Le Domas family, Grace (Samara Weaving) discovers she’s reached the next level of the nightmarish game — and this time with her estranged sister Faith (Kathryn Newton) at her side,” reads the film’s official synopsis. Grace has one chance to survive, keep her sister alive, and claim the High Seat of the Council that controls the world. Four rival families are hunting her for the throne, and whoever wins rules it all.”
The first Ready or Not released in 2019 and starred Weaving, Adam Brody, Mark O’Brien, Elsye Levesque, Nicky Guadagni, Henry Czerny, and Andie MacDowell. The film followed the story of a young bride (Weaving) who ends up being hunted by her spouse’s wealthy family on the night of their wedding, as part of a ritual the family does to appease the Devil.
